Biography
Violist Erica Zappia has premiered new music and performed classics around the globe. After time in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Texas, Erica currently resides in her hometown of Cleveland. She has earned an M.M. in viola performance at the San Francisco Conservatory and holds a B.M. from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her teachers are Jodi Levitz, Alan de Veritch, and Jeffery Irvine.
Erica currently performs with the North Coast String Quartet. In the past she was the founding violist with Amaranth Quartet and Thalia Strings. She has played with many ensembles including Odysseus Chamber Orchestra and One Found Sound.
Alongside performing, Erica has been an active teacher since 2006, teaching with The Rainey Institute of Cleveland, Youth Orchestra Los Angeles, Plano and Richardson Independent School Districts, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, and the Young Musicians Choral Orchestra.
